during late fall 2003 filmmaker lester alfonso suggested we make a scary movie just for fun. our project became the peterborough vampire, a silent gothic tale about a contemporary haunting. alt.diva tammy lin foreman plays a film composer and her husband lester alfonso plays a filmmaker who wants to make a movie about a vampire. tammy comes to live in the shadow of a man who believes he’s a vampire(played by wayne elliott) and now only she can save the filmmaker’s life. there are currently five complete soundtracks with this 22minute silent film. the first was created by filmmaker lester alfonso using digital audio samplings from the popular tv show lost and performed live at the artspace screening of the film tammy lin foreman created the second complete original soundtrack, and wayne elliot, my vampire, provided me with the third. i created my own number four using samples from wayne’s and tammy’s tracks, and ukelele virtuoso mathias Kom composed a very clever fifth soundtrack as a counterpoint to our gothic seriousness. my undying gratitude to tammy lin foreman, wayne elliott, lester alfonso, tim wilson, and dan english for taking such a long dark ride with me. brian mitolo october 18, 2007 check out CHRONIC THE MOVIE: www.youtube.com
