what’s the best system for building an editing pc
please include both pc or mac options
also include: harddrive, ram, editing software, storage/memory, etc.
ONLY TECHS PLEASE! ONLY FILMMAKERS/EDITOR, ETC.

ok i know this from personal experience’s because i edit HD video’s for games(i kinda suck but still learning)
but i got a crap system with a POS dual-core and a 9600gt so adobe CS4 runs very slow…
But this would be the Ultimate Video Editing Rig Ever..(if you got the money)
i would personally go with a Mac for Editing
But for….
PC:
Intel Core i7(4 cores with 8 Threads)
12GB DDR3 Ram
5TB of hard drive Space(there aint no such thing as overkill)
Nvidia GTX 285
Adobe Photoshop CS4
Adobe Premeire CS4
Adobe After Effects CS4
and the whole package
And for Mac’s,, im not really familiar with there hardware but i think you can get….
Intel Dual-Xeon (basically the Core i7) ( 8 Core’s 16 Threads)
6GB of DDR3 Ram
i think up to like 4TB of Hard dirve Space
4x Nvidia GT 120
Final Cut Pro
