These are highlights from Day One of a course being given at APU (Alaska Pacific University). This course is on Digital Filmmaking in Alaska and is intended to give students the opportunity to produce high-quality, professional films based on individual, community and class subjects. This first upload consists of introductions of each student and a brief description of why each is attending the class. There will be an ongoing series of shorts like this that are being compiled on DVD for students to take with them when they graduate. These are intended to dove-tail the formal course with regular uploads for staff and students to recap what they have taught and learned while having something interesting and of practical value to share with family, friends and colleagues. “Digital Film-making in Alaska is a brand new and growing industry.
