Question by Nerdgasm :E: Best film schools in the U.S.?
I want to be an actor or a director.
Which schools are the best here and what kind of grades do I have to get?

The only three worth attending are NYU, UCLA, and the University of Southern California. Even many of their graduates never find good steady work in the film industry, or on stage, for that matter.
Nevertheless, admission is extremely competitive and you should try at least for an unweighted high school 3.75 GPA out of 4.0.
For NYU, you need to be admitted separately to NYU and its Tisch School of the Arts.
For UCLA you need to be admitted to UCLA as a freshman and then apply as a sophomore for admission to the film program at the start of the junior year. Many UCLA students who apply are not admitted to the film program and almost no transfer students are admitted to it.
