Question by Annabelle: Can I some how still get in Florida State with 3.0 (with early action)?
Can i get into Florida State University with a 1130 and 3.0? My first two years of HS i was more like a C student, but my junior year, I kicked it up, i took two AP classes and the rest honors. My senior year, I am taking 3 AP classes and an extra elective (which is part of the 3 AP classes). In HS, ive been in the literacy journal for 3 years and is now the president, the Public Relations officer for SGA this year, im in the drama department at school and directed some short plays, done over 90 hours of community service (and getting more), part of the mentor/mentee program, and won a full tuition scolarship to study filmmaking in New York City. With my 3.0, so far im taking those 3 AP classes, idk how much that should raise my GPA and im thinking of applying early cause the only way you qualify for the film program is if you apply early. PLEASE HELP 🙁

You have a chance of admission if the 1130 is on the math and critical reading only. The score would put you at about the 26th percentile of admitted students.
Your GPA would put you at about the 3rd percentile of admitted students if it is unweighted. If your unweighted GPA is below 3.0, you have virtually no chance of admission
So you may have a mathematical chance of admission, but your application would almost certainly be deferred from early action to the regular pool and your chances are not high at all.
You should certainly apply to some backup universities, such as Florida Atlantic University, which are easier for admission. Even though it admits a smaller percentage of applicants than FSU, the GPAs and SAT scores of the admitted students are lower than at FSU.
Florida Gulf Coast University is even easier for admission and would be a possible safety school for you.
