FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Virgin America Premiers New Documentary Film Channel in Flight Doc TV featured on Red™ Entertainment System Virgin America, the airline that is re-inventing flying is adding a new channel to their award-winning in-flight Entertainment System Red™ called Doc TV to showcase cinematic journeys from acclaimed producers and directors. The new channel, one of dozens of viewing options on Virgin America launches on September 1 and will feature documentary series for two month runs. The first series of documentaries will feature three separate works from producers Pam Bell and James Ellison Wills. Leading off the series is a new release from the producers The People’s Nepal, which chronicles the revolution in Nepal in 2006. First person accounts and never-before-seen footage of the “April Uprising” tell an important story in the fight for human rights. The film is narrated by Peter Coyote and with an original sound track by Chris Vibberts. Following is the story of Fritz Rauh, a 90 year-old German born American Abstract painter who is also a survivor of WW2 and Russian prison camps. The film depicts his dedication to painting and Rauh tells viewers the story of his life, love and work.
