This was a project for the Video Editing Class at De Anza. (FTV/20) There’s no sound as that was a class requirement. Most of the filming was done on a Saturday, although there were two separate days of pick-up shots. Edited using Final Cut Express. There is some color correction, but it was not a focus of the assignment. Filmed in/near a community garden at McClellan Ranch not far from De Anza. Camera was a Canon HF100 Some of the running shots were done by putting the camera in a trash bag. Later shots were done with a small backpack and holding the straps in a similar manner.

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING dillonpearce.com Thanks for all the great comments with tips and mistakes in the video. I have got heaps of good pointers for my next video. This was for school media class, we got a group in my case 3 people and were not able to use any actors from drama class. We had to do it in a matter of weeks in class time except for the editing I did at home. This is our year 11 media class short film. Was planned then filmed within a week or so during school time then editing on weekends. Explosions were from Action Essentials 2, edited Final Cut Studio and SFX/Title in Adobe After Effects. I did get a little sick of editing explosions in the short time and we had to hand it in so some of the SFX are a little rushed. Please rate and comment
