Question by confused….: Have I wasted my life not knowing what career I wanted?
I’m 19 now and only just figured out what I want to do and what I’m good at. I went to college previously and failed the courses, until recently I have tried doing photography and found out I’m actually good at it. I would like to be involved in film production and to have some experience in photography first. I have always been interested in films but had no idea I was good at photography; I thought I was going to be a screenwriter. Prior to this I went through so many career options. I have only just started practicing with the camera and it annoys me that it took me so long to work out I am good at it. Other people my age who do photography are already at a high standard as they started much younger than me. It worries me because I don’t want to be 50 by the time I’m at a decent standard to be in the film industry. Have I just wasted my life doing various courses? I’m never going to be good enough?

what you do is never a waste, its experience and will come in handy at some point. the path you have followed even though you did not know where it was going has taken you to this point. look to the future and accept the path, now you know where you want to go.
