Question by James: High Quality Film Editing on my new PC?
Hey all.
I am currently in the process of designing a custom PC. that I can edit studio quality music on, play my games, and edit high quality movies with.
could you please take a look at the specs below and let me know if with this set up I will be ok to run a program such as Premier Pro. and export Feature Film quality works.
-AMD PHENOM II X4 965 BLACK EDITION 3.4 GHz SOCKET AM3 8MB CACHE

(This is what i’m unsure of. . . As I have herd that usualy people use Quadro FX series for 3d and film editing. Though if I can get away with it id like to use these cards)

I make a lot of movies. In fact, I’m currently writing my 1st feature film, a parody of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Rear Window.”
Now I normally use a Mac with Final Cut, but as for PC, Adobe After Effects (and After Effects CS3) would work for any kind of editor. It has many effects, keys and filters to help you achieve the look you want.
