Question by Valene C: How is the tv producer industry like?
I’m considering becoming a television producer, and then working my way up to becoming a film producer.
I love writing, especially writing stories, I have a great personality. I have very creative ideas on topics, I heard becoming a tv producer is easier then a film producer.
I don’t have a lot of money either, or connections at the moment. I’m in secondary school on the contrary.
I reside in Canada, but I heard that tv,and film producers don’t make much here. What path should I take to become a tv producer, what is there job like? I heard the pay is pretty low as well.

A producer is essentially the person who oversees a production from start to finish. A good producer is capable with law as well and can negotiate deals and contracts with ease. They’re also responsible for gathering investors to see a project through.
I would never hire someone to produce anything I’m writing unless they’ve produced other things before. So, I would suggest getting a demo reel and portfolio together to show that you are experienced and competant at the craft.
