Question by Orangello: I have an MFA in Film: which is easier to transition into, teaching photography or English?
I have an MFA in Film and an extensive background in teaching young people. I am in the midwest and it is to be expected that few high schools, even community colleges offer courses in film. My film background is primarily related to cinematography and directing documentary film. Although I’m passionate about storytelling, I did little writing in grad career.
For a person with my background, which is easier to break into either on a high school or community college level- Photography or English?

I’d think photography, b/c you obviously have a visual eye (cinematography)…
and btw, I’m in college now in process of getting a BFA in Film. I might consider going to grad school and get an MFA, but idk. anyway. I wanted to add that in, cuz I find that most kids in my classes are also phenomenal photographers…..:)
