Question by Mario H: Is a Sony HVR-A1U a good camera for an independent filmmaker that is aiming to make produce good footage.?
I have experience using a camera and am not a complete amateur I do have a few years of formal training in the field, I just want to make sure that I am buying a good camera for what I am aiming to do.

That is a good choice for what you’re trying to do.
If you can go another $ 500, you can get a really superb HD camera with the Canon XH A1.
