Train Chartering’s rail-related location finding services provided station and train locations for Bollywood’s Salaam-e-Ishq (‘Salute to Love’), from director Nikhil Advani.
Train Chartering organised the provision of two private carriages for filming on a modern train that shuttled to and from London over 6 hours. Subsequently there was all-night shooting at a major station outside the capital with a vaulted roof similar to a major London railway station. A private train was provided for short moves to and from the platform as the director required.
Salaam-e-Ishq, a major film from Orion M.A.D. Pictures, has been shot in Mumbai (Bombay) at various locations including Filmcity, Mehboob studios & Essel studios, before the UK filming. Salaam-e-Ishq stars Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Govinda, Shanon Esra, Akshaye Khanna, Ayesha Takia and co-stars John Abraham, Vidya Balan, Sohail Khan & Parizaad Zorabian. Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Anjana were involved in the shooting in London, Brighton and on the Train.
Train Chartering list of credits now includes: ‘Manchild’, ‘The Passer By’ and ‘Derailed’ for the BBC; ‘Ultimate Force’ & ‘Ditch the Bitch’ for ITV; ‘If Only’ and ‘Green Street Hooligans’ for independent film productions; ‘Nenjil Jil Jil’, ‘Dil Diya Hai’, ‘Bhagum Bhag’ & ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’ for Bollywood production companies.
These productions required a mix of rail locations: Trains running on the main line railway, filming time at modern stations, a rail depot and private railway locations. Train Chartering has also road-hauled a carriage to a non-railway site.
