Producer Lives in Hazard is a tough, uncompromising look at kids in Los Angeles gangs and the men they become in the California prison system. The film was featured at the Sundance Film Festival, won Best of Classroom at the Nation and was nominated by the Directors Guild of America for Best Documentary. Introduced by President Clinton, over seven million people saw the film the night of its first national broadcast on NBC. The print materials developed for the program was distributed to millions of youth in schools and other institutions.
