“Meet Charlie” is a mockumentary that follows a quirky George Harrison impersonator as he prepares for his biggest performance to date. Though his performance isn’t well received by some, Charlie keeps pushing on and reminds us that you should “always be yourself. Our production team managed to win 1st place with this video. Judging was based by the following standards: Use of the Designated Prop (suitcase): 20 points, Use of the Designated Character (Debbie/Duncan Jones – Investigative Journalist): 20 points, Use of the Designated Line of Dialogue (“Is that the best you’ve got?”): 20 points, Continuity Toward Designated Genre (genre’s were picked from a hat lottery style. our genre was mockumentary): 30 points, and Quality of the Video: 10 points. Oblong Theory would like to thank Nick Jester (the amazing soul behind the character of Charlie Fletcher), The Game Room for letting us film the security camera scene and offering to act in it as well, Josh Larsen and Rudy Jansen for helping with the compression and extraction process, and ANYONE ELSE that helped organize the event, watched the mockumentary or helped promote it, competed in the festival with us, or interacted with Charlie at the Huskers’ 300th Sell-Out game! Thank you all! *This …
