Question by cheezits101: Need help writing a scene?
I’m making a movie about two friends (boy and girl) for my film making class. In the movie, the boy tells the girl he LIKES her, but I’m not exactly sure how to write it….. So could you help?

Maybe, at first, he struggles to say it, both verbally and physically? It really depends on his personality. Is he bad at expressing his feelings ’cause he’s a toughy, or something? Or is he a bit awkward in speech in general? Does he stutter when he’s nervous? For example:
BOY
Hey, Jane… Er, I… Um….
(GIRL blinks, staring at him, confused.)
GIRL
Huh? What’s up, Steve?
(GIRL smiles warmly. BOY coughs awkwardly, before scratching the back of his neck.)
BOY
I…. Er… Uh… You have a booger sticking out of your nose!
(GIRL frowns, while BOY shakes his head vigorously. GIRL puts her hands on her hips.)
GIRL
Eh? Excuse me? Why are you acting so weird, Steve? Spit it out, what’s up?
(BOY starts laughing nervously.)
BOY
No, no! That’s not what I meant! I mean.. Er…It’s just.. Ilikeyouandwaswonderingifyouwanttogooutwithme?
(GIRL doesn’t understand his jumbled words, and is confused. Stares at him strangely.)
GIRL
What?
BOY
I…
(BOY sighs.)
BOY
I like you, will you go out with me?
(Good luck!)
