Question by Bob Johnson: Difficulties of admission in the academy?
Hello,
I am in the 9th grade.
I am not your average teenager, due to my specific interest in the Naval Academy.
I am a true lover of history, and would enjoy a career in the navy, all I ask is for insight and some opinions on my eligibility to join this wonderful institution of education.
I pass all basic requirements and will continue to do so.
What I offer:
pros-
CAP cadet
NRA member
Boxing
Fishing
Target shooting
football
good writing (one of my strengths)
Historical society member
Percussion instrument musician
Krav Maga practitioner
I am required in school to learn how to “dance” (no I am not happy about it)
Independent study
fencer
I am learning to speak Spanish in school and am learning Italian on my on time.
(future school government member)
***My main goal in the civilian field is to become a lawyer***
Cons:
My grades are average…
Do I have what it takes to get accepted?
I implore all of you, who have seen this post to please give me your honest opinion.
I am very understanding and have excellent moral character.
Oh and how could I forget!
I may be going over to Israel in the Sar-El program, and the Marva program in the near future (4 years).
Many candidates don’t have this on their resume from what i have heard!!!!
