Question by Tegan Marie ♥: recommend bands? [includes very long, picky description about what i like, sorry…]?
ok i love a bunch of very different bands but i hate a lot too.
my favourite band is paramore, mainly their riot! stuff. please don’t say bands like all time low, youmeatsix, the academy is…, new found glory etc. because not to stereotype or anything but paramore’s the emo-est i can like, i’m kind of fed up of that genre now, and also they all seem to sing in this weird accent that you only see in that genre, i don’t know if anybody else notices this too…
and, i also like muse, but tbh it’s their more famous songs [eg. time is running out, supermassive black hole, hysteria, thoughts of a dying atheist, starlight, feeling good etc…], not their heavy, fast ones like butterflies and hurricanes, stockholme syndrome, hyper music and [dont shoot me] knights of cydonia.
i like oasis too. my fave is the shock of the lightning. i do find some of their songs a bit boring sometimes though.
i also like taylor swift [fifteen, love story, forever & always] but again she can be kinda boring, e.g TEARDROPS ON MY GUITAR.
i like indie-ish stuff, like arctic monkeys, kaiser chiefs, the ting tings, sometimes scouting for girls [that’s what i percieve indie as anyway you might disagree – and i do know indie originally meant independent, etc. etc…] but i dunno i kinda find i prefer more electronic indie bands to people like the fratellis, the kooks, one night only etc…
ummm i think that’s about the end of my painfully detailed description lol.
oh, and i HATE mega-electronic, dance sreamo/emo stuff, like the medic droid,
prefer new, young bands,
generally unknown but not to tiny that i wouldn’t be able to find them on iTunes, limewire, youtube,
play guitar, if this helps at all [but not electric i don’t have one]
and, randomly, like nina simone.
i highly doubt anybody’ll even bother to answer this. lol. but it doesnt need to fit EVERY SINGLE little detail… :-]
