Question by James M: UNC or Penn State Main?
I’m a senior in high school from Pittsburgh, and I’m trying to make the decision between Penn State Main Campus and The University of North Carolina (at their school of the arts). I’ve visited both campuses and loved them both, and UNC out of state is only $ 2,000 more than Penn State in state based on the financial aid and scholarships both have given me. What I am interested in is Film and Video Production, especially in editing. I figure both schools can provide me with an education in what I am interested in, as well as a well rounded education in other subjects. But what I am most concerned with is being able to get a job after college. Based on this information, I am willing to accept any and all suggestions as to where to go. Thanks!

They are both fine schools. I actually have a niece that just graduated from penn state, she’s a nurse.
At UNC i have had several nephews who graduated from that university. One was Eddie Stierle who is now deceased. They actually have a student lounge that’s named after him. He was a ballet dancer.
I would have to think however that if your main concern is being able to get a job once collage is over, i wouldn’t know what to tell you.
Penn State however would be a lot closer to home if you intend to go home for different occasions.
