He worked as a news correspondent filming the Bangladesh war, riots, calamities and any such events which created news at the time. The range of his films comprises of biographies , development activities, social issues, performing artistes and Scientific.

He has won 3 National Awards for Photography and Direction One National Award(1998) for the film CANCER His films have been showcased in international film festivals viz., Italy, Berlin, Crackowa(Poland) and Mumbai. His work has been facilitated and appreciated by the President of India
