Writing — BY FAR.
Writing programs are generally housed in English Departments and are much more academically rigorous. You will learn all styles of writing, and read some good literature, to boot.
Most schools treat Communications as a soft major, often taken by athletes who can’t find themselves accepted into a harder major.
