I’m a college student, and I’ve been thinking of moving in this area. I visted once on a trip, and it sparked my intrest. I’m looking to intern at a record label, or a film production company, so any advice on which part of Jersey I should move to, where to stay away from excet.

New Jersey can be a great way to save money and still work in NYC. It does get a bad wrap from us New Yorkers, but it’s worth the money you’ll save.
I would suggest finding an apartment near a NJ Transit stop, which will bring you into Manhattan. I would suggest not bringing a car into Manhattan, although you may need a car depending on how far into NJ you live.
Look into which part of NY you’re interested in interning in. For example, if you’re interning downtown, you’d want to live in a different part of Jersey than if you’re working in midtown.
