[PART 2 OF 2]The laughing matter is a fan made joker short film. It is a prequel of Brian Azzarelo’s graphic novel “Joker.” In the original comic, the joker has been released from Arkham and no one knows how or why. The laughing matter is my idea of how he was “released.” This film was made with almost no budget and a very small cast. Simply two cameras, two tripods, 4 actors, and one camera operator. Filming took two days and editing took a week, we were rushed since the video was to be premiered at our schools film festival the same week.. Though through all the stress and rushing once premiered we recieved a standing ovation and 3 of the schools classes wished to see it after the film festival. Over all what I’m simply saying was that both I and my crew worked hard and we hope you enjoy! I play as the Joker
The 6th grade was learning about weather and as a teacher I thought it would be a great jigsaw opportunity for the four sections and create weather videos. Since the students only had a week and a half unitl break. I decided that I would film and edit the movies and the students would only be responisble for writing their script using the material their group was assigned, getting visual aids, demonstrations, props, costumes, or other video (there was an option to green screen which everyone took) and practice for the film day. Needless to say the editing of twelve separate movies, students leaving early for break (even though some came in to film before they left) and visual aids and incomplete storyboards the films did not get edited over break. The classes had another week to edit their own movies and here is the product. They were assessed on their content, choice and use of visual aids, preparedness and creativity.
