Question by sheila: What are Upper Division GE classes?
I will be going to California State University: Northridge next semester. I will be majoring in the Cinema and Television department under Film Production. The acceptance and information letter from the college has suggested me to take Upper Division GE. Does anyone know these Upper Division GE classes? Please help! Thanks!

I don’t know about your university, but at mine that would mean a class that is 3000 level or higher. GE stands for General Education, so if your school’s guidelines are the same, then you’re going to be looking for General Education classes 3000+. So something like Film Making 3460. You should check with one of the counselors in your department to be exactly sure. Don’t be embarassed to ask, they’ll be more than happy to explain it to you. I had no idea what they were either until my third semester.
