Question by rosie: What is a good quote about short films?
I need a quote about short films… it can be about creating them or just something about them. Preferably a quote by someone reputable—a short filmmaker or something like that. I’m having trouble finding any. Thanks!

I hope that you are able to make use of one or more of these quotations:
“My friends and I make short films. We pretended to rob the Dairy Queen where our friend worked, but someone thought we were real thieves and called the cops! Soon, the cops burst in with guns drawn!”
~ Josh Hartnett (filmmaker)
“Pick up a camera. Shoot something. No matter how small, no matter how cheesy, no matter whether your friends and your sister star in it. Put your name on it as director. Now you’re a director. Everything after that you’re just negotiating your budget and your fee.”
~ James Cameron (filmmaker)
“The intention was to shoot short films that can exist as shorts independently, but when I put them all together, there are things that echo through them like the dialogue repeats; the situation is always the same, the way they’re shot is very simple and the same.”
~ Jim Jarmusch (filmmaker)
“The freedom of the short film relative to the long film lies in the possibilities of using metaphor and other literary devices to tell the story, a luxury not available in the commercially driven, realism-oriented long film.”
~ Ken Dancyger (author)

“In the early days of talkies, many studios issued short comedies to fill out their programs or to test promising comics.
