Question by Movie Maker Jake: Where can I get WWII airsoft equipment?
Now, I am currently working on a WWII film project. However, I lack weapons. I have only 1 Colt M1911a1 at my disposal. I would like some links to websites where I can get weapons (greaseguns, thompsons, mp-40s, etc etc). However, I am an indie filmmaker with a shoestring budget,so, if possible, I would like it if the prices were 29.95 and under.
okay
In addition to my question, I would like to be given some links to Illinois re-enactors groups (preferably around west chicago area)

Sorry, but WW2 airsoft is normally more expensive than the real thing.
But I do have good news. There are people out there called “reenactors.” They’ll be glad to help you out if you buy the pizza and beer.
Here’s the primary organization for WW2 reenacting in California.

Most units are pretty nice. But 9th ID (US) has a few o many commies. I suggest you hit up 2nd Armored or 34th ID for US. 12th SS and 21st Panzer are both pretty nice for German. 2nd Sendai for Japanese.
