Question by terrig: would making an award winning low-budget short film get a producer to finance my feature length film?
or would i already have to make a feature length film? not a short film?
Answer by Magenta
Nope many films start out as shorts and are then noticed by bigger names who fund them to become full length. Look at 9, which Tim Burton put up the money to have made, Shane Acker is the creator/director of both the short and the full length.
Saw was a short film as well and so was District 9
